Your Responsibilities as a Renter

We want you to have a good time. Shimoda is a beautiful place and we feel that people should be able to experience the true flavor of what it has to offer. Our rules are simple:

Leave No Trace

The golden rule when you set up camp is to leave it in the same condition you found it. We follow the same principles:

Trash needs to be separated:
Cans and bottles / food waste / plastics / paper all need to be separated out.
When you leave, just tie up the bags and leave it in the house. We will deal with the rest.

No smoking -
Please do not smoke in the house. Please do not throw your butts into the woods. There is a real danger of forest fires in the area.

Surfing:
Feel free to use what is in the house. We have a 9 foot longboard and two boogie boards. Use this with care. You break it, you buy it. If you surf, the season is in september when the typhoons hit. When it gets good, it is really good. Contact my son for surf info: (stevenson.sam@gmail.com).

CONTACT: You can contact me at akiko.tamura@gmail.com for reservation information.
